What kind of church is
Curtisville Christian Church?

A gospel-sharing church!
We believe that God calls all people to
turn away from sin, to surrender to Him,
and to rely on Jesus Christ as Savior and
Lord. Each member should share this
message, in word and deed.

A non-denominational church!
The fellowship of Christian Churches and
Churches of Christ has no offices above
our local elders and deacons.
We're not the only Christians,
but we are Christians only!

A Bible-based church!
We seek to study, understand, and apply
the Word of God to every aspect of our
lives, guided by the Holy Spirit. The Bible
is our definitive authority. Our worship
services are modeled after examples in the
New Testament, focusing on the apostolic
teaching, fellowship, the Lord's Supper,
and prayer.

A loving church!
We intend to transform Madison and
Tipton Counties by expressing God's love!
We aim to carefully search, clearly
proclaim, and lovingly apply the teachings
of the New Testament.
God is looking for you. Are you looking for God? Many
people are not. Maybe they lost something or someone
they loved, and did not understand why God would allow
that to happen. Or maybe somebody put a doubt in their
mind that they could not answer. Or maybe they decided
that religion just didn't make much of a difference. Or
maybe they thought of church mainly as a place to go as a
child, to get moral training.

Nevertheless, God calls His people to urgently call
everyone: your life will not be complete until you are
reconciled to God. That doesn't mean you have to
understand Him. It means you accept His authority and
want to receive the love and forgiveness that He offers.
Are you ready to give God another chance to transform
your life and fulfill your true purpose? If you are not
already an active member of a congregation that proclaims
God's Word and seeks to do God's will, we invite you to join
us as we work together with God to build His kingdom
within us and around us.

We don't promise easy answers to life's struggles. But we
do hope, pray, and work to help one another live by faith, to
grow deeper and stronger in God's Word, and to put God's
message to work, so that in all we do, we fulfill God's
purpose in our lives.

Life doesn't have to be just day after day of spiritual
drifting. Your life can have the direction that Jesus Christ
alone can give. I invite you to come this Sunday and
experience the joy of serving Him with us!

How does a person join
the Christian Church?

BELIEVE that Jesus
Christ, the Son of God,
died on the cross to pay
for your sins, and rose
again.

REPENT of your sins.
Be committed to complete-
ly turn away from sin.

CONFESS Christ as your
Savior and Lord.

BE BAPTIZED (buried in
water) for the forgiveness
of sins.

These things do not earn
salvation. When we
approach God in
obedience, He forgives
our sins, gives us the
Holy Spirit, and makes us
His children - not because
He is indebted to us, but
because He is kind. We
are saved by grace.

Generally, those who
have been immersed as
believers in the name of
the Father, Son, and Holy
Spirit can join our con-
gregation by affirming that
Jesus Christ is their Lord
and Savior, and stating
their desire to become a
member of the church.
